Royal National Lifeboat Institution, United Kingdom

As consultants to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Opus has most recently has been involved in the design of a new unique double slipway, a replacement station and new boathouse.

Venture Quays, Isle of Wight, United Kingdom

Opus’ Venture Quays project on the Isle of Wight, won the Overall Prestige Award & Maritime Award from ICE Southern Branch in 2007.   The project required an economic and robust design to extend the usable quay-side facilities in front of Venture Quays from 1500m˛ to 8500m˛.

HMS President, River Thames, United Kingdom

Opus completed a new deck structure for HMS President on the River Thames. Although titled HMS this is the shore based London HQ of the Naval reserve, with jetties out into the river. Downstream from St Katharine’s Dock, with its spectacular views of Tower Bridge, it is used for both Ministry of Defence training and corporate entertaining.

Watsons Bay Baths, New South Wales, Australia

The Watsons Bay Baths are located at Marine Parade, Watsons Bay in the southeast corner of Sydney Harbour. The concrete and timber swimming facility that is open to the public was displaying signs of deterioration and as such the local Council commissioned Opus to undertake a detailed inspection of the facility. The inspection was to report on the safety of the current facility and ongoing repairs that would need to be implemented to maintain the baths use for another few years in their current form.
