Opus Heritage is a team of professional archaeologists, historians, heritage planners and museum specialists with considerable national and international experience in the heritage sector. Our team is acknowledged nationally for work on the identification, protection and management of archaeological sites and built heritage.

International Sports Village, United Kingdom

Opus is undertaking conservation work required for an olympic standard canoeing and white water rafting course at the new International Sports Village in Cardiff Bay.  Opus is refurbishing an historic waterside depot, known as the Coal staithe.

Historic Water Pump, United Kingdom

Opus is involved in a conservation project to restore a 200-year-old water pump, which stands on the site of the former tinplate works.

Castell Coch, Cardiff, United Kingdom

Opus are planning supervisors and lead consultants for heritage and conservation work at Castell Coch on the outskirts of Cardiff.
The castle is a Victorian Gothic fantasy built for the Third Marquis of Bute. His architect, William Burges, transformed the site of a ruined medieval castle into a family summer residence based upon a classic Romantic theme.

Archaeological Excavation Clarence North, New Zealand

During the New Zealand Transport Agency's (formerly Transit New Zealand) investigations into the establishment of a southbound passing lane along SH1 north of Kaikoura, consultations with local iwi and the Historic Places Trust indicated that a number of archaeological sites associated with the Clarence Archaeological Complex would be disturbed during roadworks.Archaeological Excavation Clarence North, New Zealand

New Zealand Transport Agency – Predictive Archaeological Risk

A software-based predictive model of archaeological risk was developed for the New Zealand Transport Agency (formerly Transit New Zealand) in association with NZ Historic Places Trust and Te Runanaga O Ngai Tahu for the roading network in Canterbury, Marlborough and the West Coast.
