Vince manages Opus’ Urban and Environmental Sciences group. His research skills have developed through more than 39 years’ technical leadership experience.
Vince has been with Opus for 26 years. His research interests are on how cities function and change over time, and transport effects on the environment. He also leads Opus' research into social and economic recovery from natural hazards, given current emphasis by the Christchurch earthquakes.
Vince has made many presentations to transportation planning, environmental and road safety conferences in New Zealand and Australia. He is regularly called on as an expert witness on noise in planning hearings.
Vince retains his earlier interests in materials science and road safety. He has contributed extensively to the development of specifications for materials for the state highway network.
