Maggie is a senior researcher in our Behaviour Sciences team. She has a background in systems safety and accident analysis, and was previously a researcher in the Accident Research Centre at Monash University, Melbourne.
Maggie is currently working on a range of projects looking at road user behaviour in reaction to infrastructure such as road signage and on-road treatments designed to improve cyclist safety. These projects employ a range of methodologies including in-depth interviews, focus groups, naturalistic observations, and instrumented vehicles.
Maggie is also currently completing a PhD on the system factors that may influence people’s ability to improvise in safety critical situations.
