At Opus we work to ensure that our clients are meeting – and where possible exceeding – New Zealand legislative requirements under the Building Act, Resource Management Act, and Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act. Our team has specialist knowledge of these Acts and extensive experience across a broad range of compliance areas.

We provide compliance services nationally through our network of regional and local offices. We work with local authorities, commercial and not for profit organisations that typically come to us for help with building warrants of fitness, fire evacuations, hazardous substances and resource consents.

We can provide compliance specialists across a full range of technical areas, both from a discipline point of view and from an experience perspective. For example, we can provide fire compliance services for a basic fire safety inspection through to advanced engineering analysis. We also provide comprehensive solutions to any areas of non-compliance.

Accurate and up to date reporting regimes are an essential part of the compliance mix. We help our clients to ensure they are tracking and reporting on the right elements in their business or project. For planning compliance, we developed the highly regarded ‘Planning Information Monitoring Service’ to monitor and update clients on RMA changes that may impact on client property or land holdings.
