The 24th Canadian Multidisciplinary Road Safety Conference was held in Vancouver on 1-4 June 2014.  Opus was represented at the conference by Cherie Mason (NZ) and Robert Swears (UK) who were awarded the inaugural Mavis Johnson Traffic Safety Award for the Best Policy and Practice Paper at the conference.  The conference was attended by about 200-250 delegates from across Canada and several from overseas countries and from a variety of different agencies and included health professionals, police representatives, researchers, practitioners and those interested in road safety education and engineering.  Over the three days of the conference 90 presentations were made covering a diverse range of topics extending from "Automated Vehicles: How Close Are We?" through to "Roadway Police Justice".
