The project involved the design and construction of a second, two-lane divided carriageway on Dunedin’s key southern arterial route. Opus undertook early concept design works and I&R phase, and delivered the design for the project as NZTA’s novated designer.

The project involved post-earthquake repair of a 250m long wall supporting a four lane section of arterial road. Opus provided investigation, design, and design observation services for Christchurch City Council, working with Downer EDI.
NAMS Innovation in Asset Management Planning Award - InRoads PBC-01 Performance Based Contract, Tauranga.
The PBC-01 contract covers all maintenance, renewals, and most construction on both local roads and State Highways in the Western Bay of Plenty District. The contract has been operating for 10 years.
Individual award for Best Paper
Phil McFarlane, Principal Engineer - Water Asset Management, won the Best Paper Award for his paper “Making renewal investments with confidence – a robust decision support process for 3 Waters Reticulation Networks”.
